IT Teachers in Futian Won the Grand Prize of National Robot Teaching Skills Competition

  From 5 to 7 May 2017, the Fifth National Primary and Secondary Schools Robot Teaching and Maker Education Exhibition and Competition was successfully held at Yulong School in Shenzhen's Longhua District. This event, the most authoritative teaching research activity for robot and maker education in primary and secondary schools, was organized by the Information Technology Education Committee of the China Association for Educational Technology and was undertaken by the Shenzhen Academy of Educational Sciences. It aimed to popularize the robot and maker education in primary and secondary schools across the country and to cultivate innovation and the practical ability of the students at primary and secondary schools. More than 650 leaders, experts and teachers from all over the country participated in this event.

  The highlight of this event was the competition of robot teaching skills. Competing against another 38 primary and secondary school teachers who were selected from provinces across the country, teacher Tian Hui of Yitian Elementary School in our district stood out in the competition after lesson presentation and robot operating skills challenge, ranking the second in the presentation competition and the first in the robot operating skills challenge. Teacher Tian won the Grand Prize with the total score ranking the first.

  In the assessment of the campus maker works, after the demonstration of works and the expert voting, Deng Shaoming, a student of Funtian Middle School, won the first prize, and Luo Ziheng, a student of Baihua Primary School, won the second prize. Teacher Li Mao of Huanggang Middle School, one of the eight national teacher representatives, shared the practical experience of the robot and marker education with other teachers.
